Use

A test plan is a systematic set of all test cases which must be performed during a specified period for a project.

Prerequisites

A test plan is based on one or more test catalogs. The test catalogs must be in the application hierarchy.

If you want to use eCATT test configurations which are to run in other systems, you have created a system data container.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Tools ABAP Workbench Test Workbench Test Organizer Test Plan Management from the SAP menu.

       2.      Choose Test Plan Create.

       3.      Enter the following data in the following dialog box:

¡        If you want to put eCATT test configurations in the test plan, and save central system data for it, specify a system data container. Specify a target system, in which the eCATT test configurationen is to run.

The values which you have specified are displayed as default values in the initial screen when you call an eCATT test configuration. You can overwrite them.

Specify a test plan title.

¡        You can specify a test sequence.

If you enter the same keyword in the Test Run field for related test plans, you can search for these test plans in the status info system under this keyword.

The system checks whether a test is created in the table twb_sequ. If it is not created, you get a warning. You can create new tests in the table twb_sequ with the view/table maintenance (transaction SM30).

       4.      Continue with Continue.

The SAP application hierarchy is displayed.

       5.      Expand the hierarchy structure until you reach the relevant area.

       6.      Select the subareas of the test catalogs which are relevant for the test plan.

       7.      To select by test case attributes, chooseThis graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Make a selection in the next screen. Only those test cases are now selected which were selected in step 5 and also satisfy the specified selection criteria.

Note

You can then select or reject individual test cases in the hierarchy.

       8.      Generate the test plan with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

       9.      Assign the test plan to a package (development class) and specify a transport request if required.

Result

After generation you go to the test plan management initial screen. The new test plan is in your Favorites. You can change the test plan attributes.
