Assigning Initial Values 

Procedure

       1.      From the list of steps, choose Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules.
A screen appears.

       2.      Position the cursor on the SAP field.

       3.      Choose Initial value.

Result

The initial value is assigned. If the SAP field already had one (or several) source fields assigned to it and/or field assignments have been created, the field relationship and/or the field assignments are deleted. Depending on the object type, the target field has the following value assigned to it:

Standard batch input/direct input: No-data character (defined, for example, in session header record BGR00, BI000).

Batch input recording: "/" as no-data character

BAPI/IDoc: Clear field (that is, character field ® blank; numeric field ® "00...0")
