 Characteristic Derivations  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

In the planning area CP: Sales and Promotions Plan/Actual (4TPM8000), characteristic derivations are provided in planning services (Specification of Hierarchies) and the planning workbench (Characteristic Relationships).

Caution

If the external BW hierarchy changes, you will have to adjust the data in the plan InfoCube accordingly to avoid inconsistencies. You can use the function type Repost (Characteristic Relationship) for this. For a detailed description, see Characteristic Relationships.
