Use

As an administrator, you can change the default setting of the availability status in production operations. For example, you can switch the default setting delivered by SAP for the availability status (Suppress Status) to Determine Status Automatically. Users can manually change the automatically defined default setting for the availability status.

Effects on Existing Data

The new default setting for the availability status takes effect immediately for all users. However, manual changes to the original default setting are not overwritten.

Effects on System Management

You change the default setting for the availability status in the configuration of the Availability Status Services. This is a Knowledge Management global service.
