You can use this function to replicate data from the Master Data Governance (MDG) hub to target systems.

The data replication is carried out using the Data Replication Framework.

Prerequisites

  • You have configured the data replication.

    For more information, see Configuration of Data Replication.

  • If you wish to use external data replication filters, you have defined filter criteria.

    For more information, see Use of Data Replication Filters.

  • You have defined the necessary authorizations. For more information, see the documentation on the authorization objects DRF_ADM and DRF_RECEIV.

Features

In the configuration of the data replication, you have specified which data the system is to replicate to which application and how the replication is to be effected.

You can replicate data using the following options:

  • You can replicate data immediately using the Execute Manual Replication WebDynpro application

    For more information, see Execution of Manual Data Replication.

  • You can replicate data using advanced options from transaction DRFOUT.

    This transaction allows you to choose between initial data replication, delta data replication (for replication of changes only), and data replication on a one-off basis.

The system takes replication filters into account in the process of data replication.

When carrying out the data replication, the system automatically generates data replication logs, which you can subsequently evaluate. For more information, see Evaluation of Data Replication Logs - SAP Easy Access and Display of Data Replication Logs.
