Function documentationReport Areas for Interactive Reports Based on SAP HANA VDM

SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) provides report areas defined according to business areas for CRM interactive reporting. When creating interactive reports, you use these report areas as a source for the area-specific fields that you can combine to form a report.

Prerequisites

You have set up CRM interactive reporting. For more information, see Interactive Reports in CRM..

To use the following report areas, you must activate the business function SAP BusinessObjects Integration and CRM Interactive Reporting (CRM_ANA_BOB) and Interactive Reporting Based on SAP HANA VDM (CRM_ANA_VDM):

  • Sales Quotations (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Sales Orders (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Sales Contracts (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Sales Performance Management (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Opportunities (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Activities (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Interaction Records (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Marketing Contact Tracking (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Campaigns (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Leads (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Problems (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Complaints (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Service Requests (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Service Orders (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

  • Requests for Change (Based on SAP HANA VDM)

If you are using SAP HANA SP01, use the note 1843816Information published on SAP site.

Set up the following authorizations in the SAP HANA system to enable data selection in CRM Interactive Reporting:

  • Authorizations for the user SYSTEM

Assign the SQL Privilege for the relevant schema (for example, for the schema SAP_CRM) by choosing the privilege SELECT with Grantable to others = Yes.

  • Authorizations for the schema user for the relevant schema (for example, the schema user SAP_CRM for the schema SAP_CRM)

Assign the SQL Privilege for the schema _SYS_BIC by choosing the privilege SELECT with Grantable to others = No.

Assign the Analytic Privilege for the schema _SYS_BI_CP_ALL.

Features

The report areas in SAP CRM encompass all characteristics and key figures that are available for a particular area. For example, in the report area Sales Orders (Based on SAP HANA VDM), you find fields such as Sold-To Party, Sales Organization, or Number of Open Items. In other words, all fields that you might require for reports about sales orders. Furthermore, the report areas allow you to define which fields can be used as filters and which fields enable navigation to the corresponding overview page.

Each report area is based on a particular query. Below you can find an overview of the available report areas and the queries on which the report areas are based:

Caution Caution

A separate response is available for interactive reports that are based on SAP HANA VDM. This is defined by the way in which the combinations of header and item key figures are handled in the drill-down.

Example: Access a report that displays the opportunities for each product, the number of opportunities and the number of items.

  • Response for report areas that are not based on SAP HANA VDM

The system displays the number of items for each product and an extra row at the end of the report with the number of opportunities that have this product.

    Product

    Number of Items

    Number of Opportunities

    A

    1

    -

    B

    5

    -

    -

    -

    3

  • Response for report areas that are based on SAP HANA VDM

The system also displays the number of opportunities for each product:

    Product

    Number of Items

    No. of Opportunities

    A

    1

    1

    B

    5

    3

Note that the total is not the same as the number of opportunities, since an opportunity can have both product A and B. This also affects percentage calculations. If for example you have the column Product and the column % Number of All Opportunitys in the breakdown, the result for the calculation of % Number of All Opportunitys is not the same as the result would have been if the Product column had not been included in the breakdown.

End of the caution.
