Function documentationMaintenance of a Banking Customer Quote

You can use banking customer quotes to confirm to your business partner that the bank will conclude the contract for the specified banking products. A banking customer quote captures the details of the offer given to the customer.

For more information, see Banking Customer Quote.

In a standard scenario, banking customer quotes are created from a banking opportunity for the products selected during the product proposal step. For more information, see Maintenance of a Banking Opportunity.

You can create product variants in the banking customer quote for different requirements. One of the product variants can result in a banking sales contract. You can simulate the offered loan by applying both standard price and payment conditions and individual price and payment conditions.

For more information, see Maintenance of a Retail Loan Item and Maintenance of a Product Variant.

You can search for existing collateral constellations and use them for collateral. You can also create individual objects and collateral constellation data and simulate the collateral constellation.

These calculation parameters are stored and used during the onboarding process to create the collateral constellation. For more information, see Maintenance of a Collateral.

The banking customer quote stores the calculated personal financial statement ratios. For more information about the ratios, see BRFplus for Account Origination.

You can store the banking customer quote as a PDF in the case. For more information about the case, see Case Management in Account Origination.

You can print the banking customer quote in PDF format. For more information about the print function, see Print of a Banking Customer Quote.

Activities

You create banking customer quotes in SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) and enter the relevant data:

  • You enter products for the banking customer quote. Depending on the item category group of the product, the system uses item determination to derive an item category. An item category specifies the characteristics and attributes of a business transaction item, and controls the maintenance of an item.

    Note Note

We provide the item category BK01 (Mortgage Loan: Real Estate Financing) and BK03 (Installment Loan: Bank. Customer Quote) for the banking customer quote.

    End of the note.

In the item details of your product, you can do the following:

    • Maintain retail loan items

You can create product variants for the product and display them to the customer. Product variants are used to show different proposals and calculations for the same product to the prospect. With the product variants, you can see how a loan would change if important parameters of the loan change. For example, you would like to know how the payment plan would look if you changed the loan term or the annuity amount.

For more information, see Maintenance of a Retail Loan Item and Maintenance of a Product Variant.

    • Create and delete payment advice for repayment and disbursement. For more information, see Maintenance of Payment Advice.

    • Specify the bank details for an existing clearing account in your loan account-managing system.

    • Create and maintain individual valuable items in the CRM system and use this data to calculate the collateral constellation.

For more information, see Maintenance of a Collateral.

    • Read collateral constellations from a connected collateral-managing system. You can also create and maintain collateral constellation data in the CRM system and calculate the collateral constellation.

      Note Note

Check if the connected collateral-managing system meets the requirements needed to run these functions.

      End of the note.

For more information, see Maintenance of a Collateral.

  • You can retrieve the creditworthiness information for the business partner. For more information, see Rating of Business Partners.

  • The banking customer quote stores ratios calculated for the personal financial statement of a business partner. These include the following:

    • Net worth

    • Disposable income

    • Total debt service ratio

You can attach personal financial statements for related business partners to the banking customer quote and change these assignments.

For more information about the personal financial statement, see Personal Financial Statement.

When you have finished maintaining a banking customer quote, you continue with subsequent processes. For more information, see Status Management for a Banking Customer Quote.
