Process documentationEnhancement of the Business Transaction Using EEW

You can use the Easy Enhancement Workbench (EEW) to add new folders to the data model of the business transaction and integrate them into the business processes.

Prerequisites

You have created the set types that you want to integrate in the business transaction. For more information, see Enhancement of the Product Master and Business Transaction.

Process

To integrate set types in the business transaction:

  1. In the EEW, create a new project and a new enhancement.

When you create the enhancement, specify that you want to process a business transaction. Select the enhancement type ADD_NEW_ITEM_COMPONENT.

A wizard takes you through the application.

  2. Enter the technical name and a description of the business transaction component.

  3. Select the set types that you want to integrate in the business transaction.

  4. You can make the following settings for the set types:

    • You can define whether the new business transaction component is relevant for pricing (access logic condition technique)

    • You can define that the new business transaction component is to be product independent. As a result, in the business transaction you can use set types that are not assigned to a product category. In the business transaction, the system does not then propose any of the attribute values defined in the product master.

    • You can define a flat structure in the business transaction for multi-value set types in the product master. This means that the values in the input help in the business transactions depend on the settings and values defined in the product master.

For more information, see Definition of Set Types and Attributes.

  5. Specify the item object types for which the new business transaction component applies.

  6. The system creates all the objects, such as function modules and user interfaces, required for the business transaction component.

  7. To ensure that the business transaction component appears in the business transaction, assign it in Customizing. When you assign the business transaction component to an enhancement profile, you also define whether the set type can be changed in the business transaction.

For more information, see Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Start of the navigation path Transactions Next navigation step Basic Settings Next navigation step Enhancements with the Easy Enhancement Workbench End of the navigation path.

  8. Create a component definition view for the CRM WebClient user interface (UI) for the business transaction component.

For more information, see Customizing forCustomer Relationship Management under Start of the navigation path UI Framework Next navigation step UI Framework Definition End of the navigation path.

  9. To be able to distribute the new fields to the back-end systems during account origination, you must manually enhance the relevant XI interfaces in SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (SAP NetWeaver PI).

For more information, look for Process Integration in the documentation of SAP NetWeaver at http://help.sap.comInformation published on SAP site.

    Note Note
