When you maintain retail loan items, you enter concrete, customer-specific data and therefore store an individual instance of the banking customer quote.
When you create a banking customer quote, you transfer to the quotation products for which you have defined master data. You define the special, customer-specific instance of the product in the quotation. Depending on the item category (mortgage loan or consumer loan), you can enter different data and use different functions. When you include a product in the banking customer quote, the system represents this as an item of a particular category in the quotation.
Note
In addition to the item categories delivered by SAP, you can create your own item categories for the quotation.
You have activated the business function CRM-FS, Guided Loan Origination Process
(CRM_FS_NBRNWL_1
).
You have created a financial service product (FS product) of the category BASE_FS_LOAN06
(Retail Loan
) and transferred this product to a business transaction. For more information, see Creating Financial Service Products for Banking Customer Quotes.
To define the conditions that are required for the retail loan, make the required settings for financial condition pricing (offered by component CA-FIM-FCO) in Customizing. For more information, see Price Determination for a Banking Customer Quote.
To define how the business partner can make payments for the loan, make the settings for the payment details and the payment method in Customizing for Account Origination

under .
You have made the settings for date management in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management
, under .
To control the changes to transaction items that result in changes to other items, you have defined monitor profiles and execution profiles in Customizing for Financial Services
under .
To maintain payment advice, you have activated the business function CRM-FS, Banking Customer Quote Enhancements
(CRM_FS_NB_BCQ_1).
When you enter data for the loan item, note the following:
For information purposes, the banking customer quote displays the loan data that you defined in the product master data and that you cannot change in the business transaction. In the standard system, this applies to the definitions for interest calculation and to the age limit for a product, for example.
In the banking customer quote, you can enter data for which you defined a selection of values in the product master data for the loan, such as settings for dates.
For more information, see Set Types for Financial Service Products and Set Types for Business Transactions.
Product variants are used to show different proposals and calculations for the same product to the customer. With the product variants, you can see how a loan would change if important parameters of the loan change.
Product variants provide variations of a retail loan product with different terms, annuity amounts, payment frequencies, condition fixing periods, condition determination dates, and different pricing and payment conditions.
At the end of the account origination process, the customer chooses one variant as the preferred loan and only this variant results in a banking sales contract.
For more information, see Maintenance of a Product Variant.
You can create and delete payment advice for repayment and disbursement processes. For more information, see Maintenance of Payment Advice.
You can enter and edit clearing account details for an existing clearing account in your account-managing system. For more information, see Maintenance of a Clearing Account.
You can search for existing collateral constellations and use them for collateral. You can create individual objects and collateral constellation data and simulate the collateral constellation. The calculation parameters are stored in the system for use during the contract creation process.
For more information, see Maintenance of a Collateral.
In a banking customer quote, you can trigger functions that are located not in SAP CRM but in a connected account-managing system. These functions are integrated in the business transaction as actions.
The following functions are available in the standard system, for example:
Determine the price
Calculate the payment plan
Read the collateral constellation
Calculate the collateral constellation
Note
You can trigger these functions using the process object type LoanQuoteVariant
. Ensure that your connected back-end-system meets the requirements needed to run these functions.
