SAP CRM HANA Live reports have the following features:
In your role as a key user, you can predefine these reports for certain users.
When defining a report, you can do the following:
Assign a SAP HANA Live query
When defining reports, SAP HANA Live queries are available to you as examples: These queries contain all fields available for an object. For information about adding customer-specific fields and creating and using your own queries, see SAP Note 1998684.
Choose a layout, for example Chart Above Table
Define the chart type used to display the results for the report, for example Line Chart
Define query parameters and report parameters
Default query parameters are defined in the SAP HANA Live query and must be used. This means that you cannot remove them from the parameter list. You can also define report parameters for the user.
When defining parameters, in addition to the simple comparison operators such as is
or is less than
, which are available to you according to the type of parameter, the operator calculated value
is also available, which is used to determine parameter values at runtime. This means that the calculated value for the display currency can be determined using the expression User Display Currency
or the evaluation year can be determined using the expression Current Year (User Date)
when the report is executed.
You can use the value expressions supplied in the standard system or create your own. For more information about creating your own value expressions, see Customizing for Customer Relationship Management
under and the SAP Note 1998684.
When defining parameters, you can use the checkbox fields Is Hidden
and Required
.
Use these checkbox fields as follows:
Is Hidden
If you define a value and hide the field, the user cannot subsequently change this value when they execute the report. This is for example advisable if you only want users to see values for a specific sales organization. The Required
checkbox is selected automatically in this case and can no longer be deselected.
Required
Select this checkbox if you require the user to define a value for this parameter. If you do not select the checkbox, the user can define the content of the parameter according to their own requirements. This means that they can enter a value for this parameter, but this is not mandatory.
Define filter values for filter
Once you have defined parameters, you can enter filters for all attributes and measures.
Note
You can use both parameters and filters to restrict the report according to the values entered. The difference between them for the user, who subsequently executes this report, is that they must observe any parameters that have been defined. However, the user can create new filters or delete predefined filters.
Define which fields (attributes and measures) are displayed when the report is executed and the table layout in which they are found
This means you can for example remove fields from the table, which you have defined as parameters.
Define the sort sequence for fields to specify whether these are sorted in ascending or descending order
Assign the report to specific user roles and work centers
The report then appears with its name.
Release the report for specific users or specific organizational units
Note
You can use the report assignment wizards to assign the report to users and user roles and include it on their home page and work centers. This means that the report is executed directly here.
For more information, see Report Assignment Wizard and Publishing SAP HANA Live Reports in CRM.
You can search for, select change, and execute SAP HANA Live reports using the report type SAP HANA Live Report
.
Reports are available in certain work centers according to the way in which they have been assigned.
When executing a predefined report, you can do the following:
Choose a different layout, for example Table Above Chart
Choose a different chart type, for example Pie Chart
Enter or change parameter values if no default values have been defined
Delete or add filters and change default filter values
Delete or add fields that are displayed when the report is executed and change the table layout
Change whether fields are sorted in ascending or descending order
Use links in reports to navigate to objects directly
To ensure that you can execute reports, the following prerequisites must be met:
The report has been assigned to your user role or organizational unit, or it has been released for you.
You are authorized to access the corresponding SAP HANA Live query views in the SAP HANA database.
You have an identical user ID for both SAP CRM and for the SAP HANA database.
You can create the following SAP HANA Live sample reports:
Accounts with Open Activities in the Current Year (SAP HANA Live Report)
Campaign Effectiveness (SAP HANA Live Report)
Accounts with Open Opportunities in the Current Year (SAP HANA Live Report)
Top 10 Deals in the Current Year (SAP HANA Live Report)
