Purpose

Not every event type is suitable for use with any object family. The OITF ensures that only registered event types are handled for objects of a given object family.

Process Flow

After defining and registering an event type, it must be assigned to object families where occurrences of this event should be allowed.To do this, choose in Customizing  Customer Relationship Management Master Data Products Objects Object Integration Framework (OITF) Event Type Assign Event Type to Object Family .

Example

For example, in the High Tech Software Entitlement Demo application, events ISHT_DOWNLOAD, ISHT_EXTEND_MAINTENANCE, ISHT_MAINTENANCE_EXPIRED, ISHT_MAINTENANCE_PURCHASED, ISHT_PRODUCT_REGISTERED, ISHT_PRODUCT_RETURNED and ISHT_UPGRADE are all relevant for object family 0701.
