Object documentationCondition Group

A condition group groups a set of conditions. Certain condition types are assigned to the condition group through the condition group type.

You define condition groups in the area menu of your application by using transaction F9COGR2 (Edit Condition Group) and assign them with conditions. For more information, see Editing Condition Groups.

When you create a condition group, you can specify the condition types in a condition group type in more detail. At the same time you also need to specify the interest and charge conditions as well as the date conditions for the condition types of a condition group.

Example Example

The private customer segment comprises diverse customer layers. This may mean that you need to structure this segment in a product for employees, one for students, and one for pensioners.

In this case, the condition group type Settlement Private Customers is split into the condition groups Settlement for Employees, Settlement for Students and Settlement for Pensioners. Each of these condition groups has the same condition types since they are from the same condition group type. You can now define separate interest and charge conditions for each condition group. You do not need to use all the condition types for a condition group that are available for the condition group type. However, you cannot add condition types.

End of the example.

If you define products in Customizing, use condition groups to assign these to a particular product. All contracts based on this product have the standard conditions contained in the condition groups.

Integration

The condition group is assigned to the condition model as follows:

Condition groups use condition group types as a template; Conditions use condition types as a template. Therefore, we recommend that you assign such conditions to a condition group only if their condition type matches that of the condition group.
