Function documentationCondition Editing

This section provides comprehensive information about how to define and edit conditions in your application.

Prerequisites

In Customizing, you have made the required settings for the financial conditions.

Features

Standard Conditions

You define standard conditions in your application in transaction F9COGR2 - Edit Condition Group. These conditions are grouped into condition groups that you have created.

In the Customizing of your application, you can assign the condition group to a product. All contracts that you create for this product thus contain the standard conditions of this condition group.

For more information, see Editing Condition Groups and Editing Conditions.

individual Conditions

You define individual conditions in your application, in contract editing on the Financial Conditions tab page. If you create an individual condition in a contract, this individual condition applies only there. The contract can have more than one standard condition at any one time.

You can also create contracts that have only individual conditions. In this case, you have defined a product in Customizing without standard conditions. You create individual conditions when you are in the contract editing function for the contract.

For more information, see Editing Financial Conditions and Editing Conditions.

Activities

You can edit conditions using the following channels:

  • Dialog

  • Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI)

Note Note

In contrast to dialog processing, you cannot change the valid-from date of an existing condition using the BAPI. If you create a new condition with the same valid-from date as an existing condition, the system overwrites the existing condition.

End of the note.

The following screen areas are available for editing standard conditions, and partly also for editing individual conditions:

Condition Group Overview

This screen area, which you see only when you edit standard conditions, displays all the condition groups in the system. To create a new condition group, choose Create Condition Group. To create a new condition group based on another, choose Copy Condition Group.

To display all condition groups for a particular condition group type, choose Select Condition Group Type. To remove the filter, click the same button and choose All.

Condition Group Header

In this screen area, you can edit the header data of a condition group. If you select a condition group type, you can edit only the condition types that belong to it when you edit individual conditions.

The system only displays, but does not allow you to edit, the data of the screen area for individual conditions.

Condition Overview

When you edit standard conditions, the following applies:

In this screen area, the system displays all standard conditions of the condition group in a table. To create a standard condition, choose Create Condition. To edit a standard condition, double-click it in the table.

To display all validity periods of the conditions regardless of the release status, choose All Conditions in display mode.

When you edit individual conditions, the following applies:

In this screen area, the system displays in the top half all the standard conditions for the contract. You can double-click a standard condition to display its details but not to edit it.

In the bottom half of the screen area, the system displays the table of individual conditions. To create an individual condition, choose Create Condition. To edit an individual condition, double-click it in the table.

Condition Details

In this screen area, the system displays the condition details on different tab pages. The tab pages and fields are generated according to the condition type that you are editing.

Retroactive Changes

You can change retroactively standard and individual conditions that belong to the following condition group categories:

  • Settlement

  • Bundle pricing calculation

  • Payment

The application provides a specific used until date (FICO_DUSEDUNTIL) for the financial conditions. In the case of settlement conditions, for example, this is the end of the last settlement period.

If the application permits, you can now change standard and individual conditions retroactively even if their valid-from date is before the used until date.
