Definition

You use the amount category to represent an interest rate that can be credited to the customer in the closing tasks.

The amount category 105030 (Credit Interest) supports condition determination.

Basic Data About Interest Calculation

The following fields are always available for editing a condition with the amount category 105030 (Credit Interest):

  • Rounding type

  • Rounding unit

  • Payment currency

  • Time unit for the interest rate

  • Interest calculation

  • Interest settlement frequency

    If you choose the value X (Exponential) in the Interest Calculation field, the system displays the Interest Settlement Frequency field.

The following fields are available if you set the Percentage-Based Reduction indicator and Amount-Based Reduction indicator in the dialog structure amount category in Condition Type Customizing of your application:

  • Reduction of percentage rate

  • Reduction of amount

  • Reduction of reference interest rate

  • Reduction of minimum interest

  • Reduction of maximum interest

The following fields are used to specify interest rates for tiered, interval, and mixed tiered and interval calculation. They are displayed on the table controls Tiered Calculation, Interval Calculation, and Mixed Tiered and Interval Calculation, or Tiers for Condition Determination.

  • Lower/upper limit

Specification of Interest Rates with Predefined Tiers for Complex Condition Determination
  • Definition of the complex tiers of condition determination

    The following fields are used to define the complex tiers in condition determination. They are displayed on the table control Complex Tiers for Condition Determination.

    • Tiers for condition determination

    • Amount limit of complex levels for condition determination

    • Tiered and interval calculation (item)

    • Condition item (upper and lower limit)

    • Text for tiered/interval condition item

  • Specification of interest rates for the complex tiers of condition determination

    The following fields are used to specify the interest rates for the complex tiers in condition determination. If you mark a line in the Complex Tiers for Condition Determination group box and select Detail, the following additional fields are displayed depending on the value in the Tiered/Interval Calculation field:

    • The Tiered/Interval Calculation (Item) field has the value 0 (no tiered/interval calculation).

      The systems displays the fields for specifying a simplified interest rate (see above).

    • The Tiered/Interval Calculation (Item) field does not have the value 0 (no tiered/interval calculation).

      The system displays fields for specifying the interest rates for the complex tiers of condition determination (see above).
