Object documentationTitle Data

The title data type simultaneously defines an IP product master as a title master. Individual title masters are only linked, thus creating a title hierarchy by the (underlying component, part and title) title relationships.

Title data is only relevant if you are using by title financial processing and reporting. In fact, maintaining title level is required to upload data to SAP ERP.

Note Note

Title data is not displayed in its own assignment block; rather you can find this information in the IP overview screen, in the IP Details assignment block.

End of the note.

Note Note

SAP provides hierarchy levels 1 to 3. You can also configure hierarchy levels 4 to 9.

End of the note.

Structure

Assign a title level to each title master for classification purposes under Title Data during product maintenance. SAP provides the following title levels:

Title Level

Corresponds to Hierarchy Level

No title (= default)

If you do not make an entry in this field, the master record is simply an Intellectual Property. The IP is only a title master simultaneously if you make the relevant entry here.

Title level 1

The title master can be used for the highest level in a title hierarchy.

Title level 2

The title master can be used for the nodes directly below the top node in a title hierarchy.

Title level 3

The title master can be used for the corresponding node in a title hierarchy.

You want to evaluate costs and revenues at the level of the series, seasons and episodes for a TV production. Use a title master of title level 1 for the series, a title master of title level 2 for the seasons and a title master of title level 3 for the episodes. Title relationships between title masters represent the title hierarchy.
