Opening the Composite Application Services Perspective 

Use

You use the Composite Application Services perspective of SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio to create and edit properties of entity and application services. It is also used to view and import external services. Also containing entity, application, and external service modelers, CAS has a design time element, which is used with the runtime component to generate source and configuration files out of the metadata definition of a service.

Procedure

...

       1.      Launch SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.

       2.      Choose Window ® Open Perspective  ® Other.

OR

Choose  with the quick info text Open a Perspective.

       3.      Choose Composite Application Services from the list.

Composite Application Services opens with the Service Explorer view active.

Result

You can now begin creating a development component project, modeling application and entity services, and importing external services.
