Use

In an operative BI system, the volume of data increases constantly. For this reason, reporting requirements may change over time and you will need to modify the data model.

Prerequisites

You have loaded data to your InfoProvider, possibly over a long period of time.

Features

Information Lifecycle Management allows you to classify data according to how current it is and archive it as required. This simplifies the administration of the data warehouse and improves performance.

You can perform repartitioning or reclustering to improve the performance of InfoProviders in which, for example, more data has been loaded than was originally planned.

By remodeling InfoProviders, you can modify your InfoProviders to reflect how your requirements have changed.
