SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) 

Purpose

SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) is a flexible and customizable infrastructure that integrates RFID technology with existing SAP logistics systems. It provides standard content that enables you to automate and RFID-enable basic logistics processes, but also provides extensible capabilities that allow you to easily adapt the standard content to implement your own customer-specific processes.

Implementation Considerations

The solution consists of one or more SAP AII systems that can be implemented on various types of platforms, from PDAs through workstations to large servers.

The system can be deployed in the following ways:

●      Standalone SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure

○       SAP AII, independent from an ERP system

○       SAP AII, integrated in supply chain execution with an ERP system

●      SAP Auto-ID Enterprise

○       Local instances of SAP AII integrated with a central SAP object event repository
