Taxonomy Explorer
In the Taxonomy Explorer, you define the structure of your taxonomies by creating folders.
When an administrator creates a taxonomy in Index Administration, this taxonomy also appears in the Taxonomy Explorer. The taxonomy settings, such as taxonomy type or automatic classification, are made in Index Administration.
The folder hierarchy in the Taxonomy Explorer is structured as follows:
· The indexes are shown under taxonomies on the first level.
Only classification indexes and combined search and classification indexes are visible. You cannot create folders at this level.
· The taxonomy root folders are shown on the second level.
If you assign several taxonomies to an index, automatic classification classifies all of the documents from the assigned data sources in each of the taxonomies.
· The categories of the taxonomy in question are shown as of the third level.
On this level, you can create new folders for defining the structure of the taxonomy.
