Configuring Unbounded Processes 

Purpose

Using this IT process, you adapt integration scenarios and integration processes for your system landscape.

Use of the Process

This process is part of the following IT scenarios:

Prerequisites

You have modeled the required integration scenario and integration process in the Integration Repository of the Integration Builder.

Process Flow

The following IT process applies to the usage type PI:

       1.      Configure integration scenario.

In the Integration Directory of the Integration Builder, you adapt the integration scenario to your specific system landscape. You specify, for example, collaboration profiles (communication party, service and communication channel). You can use wizards for the configuration.

       2.      Configure integration process.

In the Integration Directory of the Integration Builder, you create a service for the integration process and all relevant business systems. For further configuration you can use a wizard.

       3.      Activate change list.

As soon as you activate the change list, the system generates executable runtime versions from the specifications in the Integration Repository and the Integration Directory.

Result

You have configured the integration process so that it is ready to run and can be started when a start message is received.
