Use

Permissions for activities in the portal are stored in portal roles. SAP delivers predefined portal roles that give portal users permission for specific tasks.

Note

You can tailor the portal roles delivered and their permissions to suit the requirements of your company.

Features

To give users permissions for access to Collaboration applications and for performing specific Collaboration activities, you assign them the relevant portal role.

Portal Roles for Collaboration

Super Administration

Gives administrators permission to structure portal objects such as worksets for room templates and room part templates (See Structure linkMaintenance of Worksets for Templates).

This composite role comprises the single roles Content Administration, System Administration, and User Administration.

Role ID:
pcd:portal_content/administrator/super_admin/super_admin_role

System Administration

Gives administrators permission to access the system administration. This includes the Structure linksystem configuration for Collaboration.

Role ID:
pcd:portal_content/administrator/system_admin

Content Administration

Gives administrators permission to administrate content. Administration of Collaboration content comprises the following activities:

·        Structure linkRoom administration (across rooms)

·        Structure linkMaintenance of templates for rooms and room parts

·        Structure linkMaking services available

In addition, the role provides access to the following configuration activities through related links:

·        Structure linkConfiguration of the room infrastructure

·        Configuration of the groupware calendar, groupware mailing services, and groupware transports

·        Configuration of the Real-Time Collaboration and Synchronous Collaboration Framework components

Gives users permission to access the following applications:

·        Room directory (entering rooms)

·        My Tasks

·        My Sessions (session records)

Collaboration Room Creation

Gives users permission for the following activities:

·        Room creation

·        Administration of rooms in which the user is the room owner

·        Administration of rooms in which the user is the room administrator

Collaboration Demo

Gives permission to present Collaboration applications
