Procedure documentationDefine Tester Worklist Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

A test package is usually assigned to a tester. The tester finds this test package as a work list in the test transaction. You can also lock or delete a test package for a tester.

Note

The test package assignment is client-specific.

Procedure

Assign Test Package to Tester

To assign a test package to a tester:

...

...

       1.      Go to the structure display of the test plan from which you have generated a test package.

       2.      Expand the tree structure and set the cursor on a test package.

       3.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

       4.      Enter the tester’s user name in the Assign Test Package dialog box and choose Continue.

The tester assignment is put in the hierarchy.

Note

·         To reset a tester assignment, position the cursor on the name of the tester and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

·         If you want to test a test case twice, independently, you must copy the test package and assign each package to a different tester. For automatic test cases which run in the background the four eyes principle is superfluous because the test case run is so defined that any tester would get the same result.

Caution

If you assign a test case to several testers the test case result is displayed as follows:

·         If several testers have tested the same automatic test case in the same test package, the status entry of the last tester applies.

·         If several testers have tested the same manual test case in the same test package, the worst result applies.

·         If several testers are to test the same manual test case in the same test package and there are the test statuses ‚OK‘ and ‚open‘, the result is ‚OK‘.

Delete Test Package from Tester‘s Worklist

If you want to remove test packages from the tester worklist without losing the tester assignment, you can lock the assignments. This is useful above all when a test is finished and the tester should not change the status any more.

...

       1.      Go to the structure display of the test plan from which you have generated a test package.

       2.      Expand the structure completely so that you can see all test packages and their assignments.

       3.      Mark the tester in the test packages.

       4.      Lock the test packages with the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text pushbutton or Goto ® Lock Assignment.

The assignment status icon changes from This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (assignment released) to This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (assignment locked).

Note

To reset a lock, mark the tester and choose the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text pushbutton or the menu Goto ® Release Assignment.

Delete Test Package Assignment

Delete the assignment of a test package to a tester in the Goto ® Delete Assignment menu.

Caution

You should not delete the assignment of a test package to a tester if it has already been processed because you would lose information.

Result

The testers find all released test packages in their worklist. You can search for all test packages of the tester in the Utilities ® Tester Worklist menu in the test plan management.
