System Analysis
The System Analysis part of the SAP NetWeaver Administrator includes the following work centers, which you can use to manage the performance of your system landscape:
Two important tools for measuring performance can be found here. The Application Profiler is used for evaluating application performance at millisecond level during the development and testing phase, while the Activity Trace is the runtime solution for tracing a user’s requests and discovering internal performance problems in the components, network, and database.
· Configuration Work Center
This type of work center enables you to perform an evaluation between a faulty and a healthy system by helping to discover configuration failures. A provided system configuration tree displays all detailed configuration information and property sheets of the Java systems. For more information, see J2EE Config Browser.
· Debug Work Center
A useful instrument called Logs & Traces offers several selectable views on the startup framework protocols and traces that are written by the SAP Logging API. Traces are only required in case of system or performance problems. That is why traces normally are switched off and have to be activated explicitly in the Log Configuration to retrieve data.
