Procedure documentation Editing the Frameset Layout  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You want to change an existing frameset layout for displaying contents in a certain language and release context.

Prerequisites

The file type of the frameset layout templates (files with file name extension *.thtm) must be registered on your front-end PC.

If this is not the case, register the file type as follows:

In the Windows Explorer, select a file with the file name extension *.thtm, and choose Open with.... In the Open with Windows dialog box that is now displayed, choose an editor that is installed on your PC, select the Always open this file with this program option, and choose OK.

Procedure

The primary component of a frameset layout object is the file in which the division of the browser window is defined in frames. If you only want to change this file, you can edit this (primary) component of the info object directly in the editor. If you want to change other components of the info object (for example, a banner referenced in the frameset), you have to create a new version of the info object by checking in all its components. In both cases, you have to perform the following steps first:

...

       1.      On the SAP KW initial screen, choose the context for which the frameset layout is to be valid.

       2.      Go to the info object list of the folder containing the design templates (folder STYLES in the HTML-Based Documents area).

       3.      Select the relevant info object and choose Change contents.

The Edit Info Object dialog box appears.

Editing the Primary Component

...

       1.      To load and edit the primary component of the info object into the editor, choose the Editor icon in the Edit Info Object dialog box.

The editor registered for file type *.thtm is started and the file is loaded.

       2.      Edit and save the file in the editor.

       3.      Save the info object in the SAP system in the Edit Document dialog box.

A new version of the frameset layout is created with the modified primary component.

Checking In a New Version of All Components

...

       1.      To check in a new version of all the components of the info object, choose New version in the Edit Info Object dialog box.

       2.      In the next dialog box, select all the files that are components of the info object and choose Open.

       3.      In the next dialog box, select the primary component of the info object and choose Execute.

A new version of the frameset layout containing all the selected files as components is checked in.
