Master Data in Warehouse Management
Definition
The material master has been enhanced by two views for AFS Warehouse Management. In these two views, you store data for capacity consumption, the strategy, palletization, and the storage bin. You can store SKU-specific weight information in the material master on the tab page AFS Dimensions, which you go to via the pushbutton Extras .
Structure
Material Master
You can enter the capacity consumption and the reference unit of measure for individual grid values, categories, and SKUs in the view AFS Warehouse management 1. If you do not enter any values, the system will use the values that you entered for the material in the view Warehouse Management 1. You should therefore only enter values in the AFS Warehouse management 1 view for SKUs, which differ from the average value at material level. You can use the FAST ENTRY to quickly enter grid values, categories, and SKUs.
You can also specify the stock placement and stock removal strategies in the view AFS Warehouse management 1 for grid values, categories, and SKUs, by making the following entries:
If you do not enter this data at SKU level, the system uses the stock strategies that you stored in the Warehouse Management 1 view at material level. You can use the FAST ENTRY for processing data at SKU level.
Enter the palletization data at SKU level in the view AFS Warehouse management 2. You can enter up to three loading equipment quantities for each SKU. If you do not enter this data at SKU level, the system uses the palletization data that you stored in the Warehouse Management 2 view at material level.
If the storage type is defined, you can enter two storage bin dates at SKU level in the view AFS Warehouse management 2. You can specify the storage bin, the picking area, the maximum and minimum storage bin quantities, and the control, replenishment, and rounding quantities for each SKU.
Only data at SKU level is considered for processing the replenishment. If you have not stored any data here, the system will not use data that you entered at material level.
AFS Restrictions
The basis for calculating the weight in warehouse management is the weight entered at material level.
