Use

Transaction LXE_MASTER enables you to determine the priority of each target language, and the server on which each target language is processed when worklist evaluations take place.

·        Priority: this setting determines the sequence in which individual jobs are processed for each target language during the evaluation. If no priorities are set, all jobs start at the same time. As a result, all of the background job slots that are available in the background job environment are always occupied during evaluation runs. This could lead to conflicts with other processes that are running in the system.

·        Server: you can define a standard server for each target language. All evaluation jobs then run on this server for the language in question. If your translation system has several servers, this function enables you to distribute the evaluation’s individual background jobs equally among them.

Prerequisites

·        The target languages have been maintained in transaction LXE_MASTER.

·        Your translator profile contains the authorization object LANG with the value 01.

Procedure

...

       1.      Call transaction LXE_MASTER.

       2.      On the Languages tab page, choose Languages.

The Translation Languages dialog box is displayed.

       3.      Select the target languages to which you want to assign the same priority, and choose Priorities.

       4.      Select one of the seven possible priorities (they range from Extremely High to Extremely Low.) If you selected several target languages, you must repeat this procedure for each one of them. The window’s title bar contains the target language to which you are currently assigning a priority.

       5.      Repeat these steps for all remaining target languages.

       6.      Now select the target languages to be evaluated on the same standard server, and choose Server.

       7.      Select the required server. If you selected several target languages, you must repeat this procedure for each one of them. The window’s title bar contains the target language to which you are currently assigning a server.

       8.      Repeat these steps for all remaining target languages.

       9.      Save.

Result

The priorities and servers you maintained for each language are displayed in the Translation Languages dialog box.

These priorities are taken into account during evaluations. Evaluation jobs first run for the target language(s) with Extremely High priority, then for the language(s) with Very High priority, and so on.

If you defined standard servers, the evaluation jobs for specific target languages always run on these servers.
