Procedure documentation Removing Objects from a Worklist  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

For performance reasons, you are advised to restrict the size of your worklist to the number of objects you can process in one day (a rule of thumb is no more than 5000 lines in total).

After you have translated a number of objects in your worklist, you should remove them from your worklist before calling up more objects that require translation.

Note that you can remove objects from your worklist even if they are not 100% translated. You might want to do this so that another translator can call the objects up in his or her worklist instead, or simply to reduce the size of your own worklist.

Features

You can remove both untranslated and translated objects from your worklist.

You can call up these objects in your worklist again, as long as they are not reserved in another user’s worklist.

Once you have removed 100% translated objects from your worklist, you can only call them up in your worklist again if you select the Display translated objects checkbox in your worklist settings, call up transaction SE63 again, and then call up a worklist for translated objects.

You should therefore ensure that all objects are correctly translated before you remove them from your worklist. If you think you may need to make a correction to a translation in a specific object later, you also have the following options:

·        Make a note of its object type and technical name (so you can call it up directly in transaction SE63). For more information, see Translating Objects Directly.

·        Keep the object in your worklist (that is, do not release it).

Procedure

Proceed as follows from your worklist:

...

       1.      Decide which objects you want to remove from your worklist:

¡        All objects in the worklist

To do this, place your cursor on the root of the worklist.

¡        All objects in a specific collection

To do this, place your cursor on the collection node in question. You can only do this if your worklist is sorted according to collection.

¡        All objects in a specific object group

To do this, place your cursor on the object group node in question. You can only do this if your worklist is sorted according to object group.

¡        All objects of a specific object type

To do this, place your cursor on the object type node in question.

¡        One specific object

To do this, place your cursor on the object you want to remove.

       2.      Choose Remove Objects from Worklist.

The system displays a dialog box asking if you want to remove the objects you have chosen.

       3.      Choose Yes.

...

Result

The objects are removed from your worklist. The object will not appear in your worklist again until a translation-relevant change is made to one of the texts (in other words, until the object contains further modified or new lines and is no longer 100% translated).

You can, however, call up the object directly at any time using transaction SE63. For more information, see Translating Objects Directly.
