This standard analysis helps you, for example, to determine the ratio between the order volume and the sales volume in certain merchandise categories for the individual vendors in a purchasing area.

The key figures you can analyze using STRPS include:

• Margin: difference between the retail price and cost price, expressed as a percentage of the retail price
• Inventory turn: total number of issues in relation to the average inventory
• Range of coverage: number of days supply

• GMROI (Gross Margin Return on Investment): product of annual inventory turn and issues margin

The Purchasing standard analysis is based on data updated to information structures S080 (movement data) and S081 (stock data). When you run this standard analysis, the system reads in data from the information structures, makes retroactive stock calculations and determines the calculated key figures for information structures S082.
