Use

This procedure is used to insert existing characteristic values from manual planning into planning and also to make them useable directly for planning. This corresponds to the creation of a "planned" characteristic value assignment.

Caution

Planning and characteristics planning is conceivable at merchandise category and classification system characteristic level. However, with regard to the subsequent processes (creating article variants etc.) planning is best supported at (generic) article level and classification system characteristics level.

Procedure

  1. In the manual planning overview screen, select the characteristic value that you want to use as a template for the new characteristic values to be inserted.

    2. This template is, for example, used to determine the hierarchy parameters (relative proportional factors, allocation keys) and items, which the characteristics to be inserted are to take into the planning hierarchy.

  2. Choose Extras ® Characteristic Planning ® Insert Characteristic Value. A dialog box appears. Enter the characteristic values you want to insert.

    3. As far as possible, the characteristic values to be inserted are checked to make sure they are allowed in accordance with the classification of the article.

  3. Save your entries. The new characteristic values are available in the planning screen.

Result

The characteristic values are inserted in the background during posting.

As regards selecting the planning layout, the subtree corresponds to the that of the template value down to the planned characteristic value assignments of the new characteristic values in the planning hierarchy.

The characteristic values can be planned as soon as they have been inserted.

As standard, the plan data for the reference value is already filled in within the layout for the new characteristic values.

The attributes are redetermined for the new characteristic values.

Additional key figures are not redetermined explicitly for the new characteristic values.
