Definition

Preset reports which are provided in the standard system as examples/templates for the creation of individual reports.

Use

The standard reports are contained in the standard report tree. They provide you with a basic information system that you can adapt to meet your own requirements.

The standard reports are delivered with the R/3 System in client 000. To make them available in other clients, you must import them to these clients and then generate them there. This procedure is described in detail in Profit Center Accounting Customizing. For drilldown reports, see Import Drilldown Reports; for Report Painter reports, see Import Report Painter Reports).

Caution

After importing the reports, you should not change the standard reports in the target client. Instead, you should either use them as templates for your own reports or create a copy of the standard reports under another name.

After importing a new release or maintenance level, you have to import the standard reports from client 000 again. Note that when importing the standard reports to your client, you overwrite any changes you have made to them.

The standard reports were created using the Report Painter and the drilldown reporting tool (for an explanation of the differences between these tools, see Drilldown Reporting vs Report Painter Reports). They can therefore serve as examples for creating your own reports with these tools.

All standard reports use the period accounting method.
