Function documentation Posting Plan Data Subsequently Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

If you do not transfer plan data for CO objects to Profit Center Accounting online, you can post this data en bloc for a single plan version and fiscal year under the function Planning ® Plan data transfer ® CO plan data.

To select all the plan data of one object type (such as cost centers), enter that object type under Objects. If you wish to select only certain values of that object type (individual cost centers or a cost center group), you can enter these under Characteristic values.

Prerequisites

Note that you cannot repeat a transfer of individual objects unless you have activated the line item update in Profit Center Accounting for this version. This is the only way you can delete previously transferred plan data before you run the transfer again.

If you are not working with line items, you always have to post all objects of a given object type (cost centers for example) when you repeat the transfer.

Features

You can post plan data for the following objects:

·         cost centers

·         internal orders

·         projects

·         business processes

·         networks

·         account-based profitability segments

·         SOP orders

·         MRP orders

·         real estate objects

The system reads the plan summary records for these objects and transfers them to Profit Center Accounting.

Planned overhead (planned primary costs, results analysis, distribution, planned secondary costs, assessment, and so on) is posted to profit centers via the assignment of cost centers and internal orders.

For make-to-order production using the SAP Projects System, you can transfer the plan data from WBS elements or from networks.

Account-based profitability segments let you transfer revenues from revenue planning. The prerequisite for this is that you specified the profit center, company code and controlling area in Profitability Planning.

SOP orders and MRP orders are objects in sales and production planning. Their purpose is to provide a rough plan of the production activities required to realize the planned sales. The production plan for product groups is divided among the individual products, which are assigned to profit centers.

A routing tells you which activities are required from which work center, and consequently also from which cost center. These activities can be scheduled automatically for the cost center. This makes it possible to allocate data between the profit center of the product and that of the cost center involved. When transferring plan data from SOP and MRP orders, the scheduled utilization of plan activities is therefore transferred to Profit Center Accounting.
