Use

Dealing in perishables means having to work with considerable fluctuations every day. Often the weather conditions greatly influence demand, prices, and the quantities delivered. This function supports you in determining requirements based on stock on-hand, existing purchase orders, and historical data.

Prerequisites

Features

The info structure can be analyzed using the standard analysis tools. With critical key figures, you can have the system generate a message or a workflow item using the early warning system and assign them to an employee

The following fields are relevant for perishables requirements:

Remaining quantity = Total purchase orders over DC delivery period

+ current unrestricted-use stock (stock on-hand)

– existing store orders over store delivery period

Example

The following example illustrates how the Remaining quantity field is used:

Total purchase orders over DC delivery period: 100 pc

current unrestricted-use stock (stock on-hand): 20 pc

– existing store orders over store delivery period: 50 pc

Remaining quantity calculated: 100 pc + 20 pc – 50 pc = 70 pc

You can use the user exit EXIT_SAPMWOG1_010 to replace this rule with one of your choice.
