In the standard version of the SAP R/3 System, not all document texts are activated when sales and distribution forms are issued. A large number of texts are solely for internal information purposes and are not included in the sales and distribution forms. Thus, you can enter packing information for the shipping department as an item text.

You can specify, which texts are to be used for internal purposes and which are to be used in the sales and distribution forms. Individual settings are made in Customizing for sales and distribution in the menu option Layout definition.
