Use

You can use this procedure to distribute returns to sales orders and warehouse orders that are still awaiting delivery of certain goods. Proceed as follows:

Procedure

  1. On the Adjust Distribution: Selection Screen, enter the distribution center whose returned stock is to be distributed. You can narrow down your selection to specific articles.

You can select the backorders by entering shipping and customer data.

You can also select which document types are to be included in distribution (sales orders or stock transport orders).

  1. Choose the processing method. You can only make a change to the returned stock for which a transfer posting is to be made if you work with online processing.
  1. Choose Program ® Execute.

In online processing, the system displays a list of the blocked stock returns. This list is sorted according to site, article, and storage location. The system suggests that a transfer posting is made for the total blocked stock returns to unrestricted-use stock. If necessary, overwrite this default value with a smaller quantity, and choose Post.

The system carries out a transfer posting for the required quantity of blocked stock returns to unrestricted-use stock. The system determines the overdue documents that match your selection criteria, and distributes the blocked stock returns over the overdue documents in line with the distribution profile defined in Customizing. In this process, the system assigns the distributed quantities to an individual document. The system then automatically creates deliveries for merchandise distribution and displays a log for delivery generation. This log shows you which deliveries were created for the overdue documents.

Note

Deliveries for distribution of returned stock are always generated automatically. You cannot change this setting in Customizing.
