When generic articles have logistical variants, procurement variants can differ from the sales variant. If this is the case, procurement variants are used in follow-on documents for replenishment. Replenishment therefore transfer procurement requirements to another variant. If more than one procurement variant is assigned to the article in question, the system selects the variants that have been listed for the relevant store.
