Store associates can use this function to perform the following activities for an EAN/UPC or article number:

• Display price

• Change price

Intranet component

Customizing in Pricing is required for this function.

Authorizations can be assigned at site level via authorization objects W_VKPR_WRK, V_KONH_VKO and V_KONH_VKS. The activities Display sales price and Change sales price are checked, resulting in the following options:

• The store associate has authorization for neither function. In this case, he/she cannot use the sales price application in SAP Retail Store.

• A store associate has authorization to display sales prices. This means that he/she is only able to display sales prices, and the price history only displays sales prices from the past.

• A store associate has authorization to display and change sales prices. In this case, he/she can use all functions of the application.

Once you have entered an article, the system uses the merchandise category of the article to check object W_VKPR_WRK to determine whether the user has authorization for this merchandise category.

If the store is allowed to change its prices, the Change price function should only be made available to very few store associates as it should only be used by people with the necessary responsibility.

• The system suggests a "Valid-to" date calculated from the "Valid-from" date plus the maximum validity period length defined in Customizing.

The connection of the Sales Prices in SAP Retail Store screen is carried out with function modules SALES_PRICE_READ, SALES_CONDITIONS_READ and BAPI BAPI_RPC_CALCULATE_PRICES of Retail Pricing.

It differs from Retail Pricing in SAP Retail in the following ways:

• The options for calculating a new price are very limited. You can only enter a new price and a validity period and can only run the price calculation if a price already exists for the article in the relevant unit of measure. This means that you cannot create a new price, only change an existing one.

• When you change a price, a new condition is created at Site level. SAP Retail Store does not change prices created at Distribution chain level.

• Authorization to change sales prices is also used to control whether future prices are displayed. As a result, users not authorized to change prices cannot display information on the future prices of an article either.

• If a promotion price is valid for the specified article, you cannot change this price. In the application, promotion prices are highlighted in color.

The following additional information is displayed for each article category:

• If you enter a generic article, the system displays a list of all variants. All variants that have their own sales prices are displayed as a link. If you click on the link, you go to the Display price function for the relevant variant.

• If you enter a variant, its generic article is displayed as a hyperlink. The system also shows whether the variant has its own price or whether it uses the price of the generic article.

• If you enter a sales set, the system displays a list of all components of this sales set. Each component is displayed as a link.

• If you enter a variant or a single article that is a component of a sales set, the system displays a list of all relevant sales sets. The sales sets are displayed as hyperlinks.

• If you enter a full product, the system automatically determines the deposit for the article and in addition to the price of the article displays the deposit and the price plus deposit.
