Use

Store associates can use this function to perform the following activities for an EAN/UPC or article number:

The system displays an overview of the current sales price of the selected article for each units of measure in which the article is sold.

If you have the authorization to change sales prices, you can go directly to the Change price function or display the price history. The price history contains the prices of the article in past and future periods. If you call the price history, but do not have authorization to change sales prices, the system only displays the price history for the specified past period.

The system displays an overview of the current sales prices. You can also change the prices by entering new, store-specific and time-dependent sales prices. The earliest valid-from date for the new sales prices is the following day. You can freely configure the maximum length of the validity period.

You can also call the price history, which contains past and future prices. If a promotion price is valid for an article, you cannot change this price.

If you only have authorization to display prices, the system only offers the Display price function, not the Change price function.

Special article categories (generic articles, variants, sales sets, components, full articles and empties) are supported.

Prerequisites

Customizing in Pricing is required for this function.

The function also uses special Customizing for the Sales Prices application in SAP Retail Store. Here, you define the periods for determining the price history and the maximum length of the validity period for new prices.

Users of the Display price function are likely to be store associates who need to find out current prices so that they can pass this information on to customers, for example.

Authorization/Security

Authorizations can be assigned at site level via authorization objects W_VKPR_WRK, V_KONH_VKO and V_KONH_VKS. The activities Display sales price and Change sales price are checked, resulting in the following options:

Once you have entered an article, the system uses the merchandise category of the article to check object W_VKPR_WRK to determine whether the user has authorization for this merchandise category.

If the store is allowed to change its prices, the Change price function should only be made available to very few store associates as it should only be used by people with the necessary responsibility.

Standard settings and predefined data

In the Change sales price function, the validity period is displayed as follows:

Example

You specified that new prices are valid for three days. If you change a price on July 1, the system suggests July 2 as the "Valid-from" date and July 4 as the "Valid-to" date.
