Performing Template Allocation

Prerequisites

You have performed the following steps in Customizing for Product Cost by Order , Product Cost by Period , Product Cost by Sales Order , or Costs for Intangible Goods and Services :

Maintain environments and function trees (only if necessary)

Maintain template

Assign template

Procedure

Choose Accounting ® Controlling ® Product Cost Controlling and then the desired application component (such as Product Cost by Order), then Period-End Closing ® Single Functions ® Template Allocation ® Individual Processing or Collective Processing.

The screen Actual Template Allocation appears.

Enter the required data.

Set the indicators for processing control as desired.

Choose Allocation ® Execute.

Result

The system executes the template allocation, and charges the cost object with the product of the template quantity times the activity price.
