Manually Creating and Editing Message Control Records

Use

You can manually create and edit message control records (NAST records) for rebate arrangements and settlement runs for arrangements to enable you to select parameters, such as message type or communication parameters, that are not defined in Customizing for message determination.

Prerequisites

Final settlement must not have been performed for the rebate arrangement.

Procedure

Choose

Purchasing ® Subsequent settlement ® Vendor arrangements ® Rebate arrangement ® Change

Purchasing ® Subsequent settlement ® Customer arrangements ® Rebate arrangement ® Change

Enter the number of the rebate arrangement and choose Execute.

The rebate arrangement is displayed in change mode.

Choose Agreement or Settlement ® Output ® Edit.

In the case of a rebate arrangement, you go directly to the list of NAST records for the arrangement.

In the case of a settlement run, you first go to a dialog box in which the settlement runs for the arrangement are displayed. You double click on a settlement run to go the NAST records created for the settlement run.

Create a new NAST record or edit the NAST records in the list.

You can enter the following parameters:

Message type
Transmission medium of the message
Partner function
Partner that receives the message

Note

If you create a NAST record manually, you must also enter a storage mode (such as Print only) for the message under the Communication method. You can also maintain additional data such as the time when the message is to be sent.
