Maintaining Sales Prices for Perishable Produce

Use

The system can calculate the following prices (in a two-step price calculation) using the Pricing component:

Transfer prices (if you procure perishables via a distribution center)
Sales prices
Purchase prices or price lists for individual stores

Prerequisites

Before you can use this function, you must generate a perishables planning list (see Perishables: Perishables Planning List).

Features

When you call up Sales Price Calculation, the system analyzes the vendor and the purchase price.

If you are planning to procure a particular article from more than one vendor at the same time, the system calculates the prices using an average purchase price and not the price charged by a particular vendor.

The system updates the new sales prices on the database. These new prices are thus available for subsequent functions. This allows the system, for example, to find the most up-to-date retail prices during POS outbound processing for transfer to the cash registers.

Activities

Position the cursor on an article on the screen for displaying the perishables planning list, and choose Maintain prices. The system calculates the sales price for the article selected. If the article is available from more than one vendor, make sure that the cursor is on the line with the vendor you want.
