Use

You can enter plan data in total cells and subtotal cells. The value entered in a total cell is distributed amongst the individual summands. This means that you can enter plan data very quickly for a whole column (total) or part of a column (subtotal). You may have to then just alter the planning figures for a few cells individually.

Prerequisites

The function Input-Ready Totals On / Off can be used in planning layouts with simple key columns. This also includes the period screen. In layouts with a complex key column, this function is not available in the overview screen.

Activities

Place your cursor on a total or subtotal on the overview screen or period screen of a layout with one or several simple key columns.

You can turn input ready total cells on or off by choosing Edit ® Totals Input On / Off or using the relevant pushbutton. Enter the a value for a total then confirm your entries.

If there are no planning figures for the individual summands, the total value you enter will be divided up equally amongst the data cells belonging to the total cell. If planning figures are available, the old plan data is revaluated with the relationship New Total / Old Total.

Locked cells remain unchanged when the data is distributed.
