Use the Business Document Navigator to create Office documents or graphics as information for planning scenarios, planning steps, and planning step links. Use the navigator to define your company objectives and strategies or state responsible employees.

After calling the Document management function in a planning scenario, a planning step or a planning step link, you get to the Business Document Navigator. Use the Document management for the following:

• Classify documents in document types, for example:

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Power Point
• Microsoft Excel
• Screens

• Short descriptions for each document
• Keyword definitions
• Version management
• Status management
• Creating language variants
• Processing, copying or deletion of documents
• Refresh function
• Transporting documents

SAP has created document class MAP with class OT for managing and archiving all documents in Merchandise and Assortment Planning.
