In the Best Practice Scenario for Merchandise and Assortment Planning, you can plan at "Store group" level. Store groups show how strong sales are for the stores within each group in a particular merchandise category.

Stores are to be split into three groups according to the sales for each merchandise category.

Assignment of Store Groups to Assortments for Prepack Allocation Planning
Prepack Allocation Planning is used to generate allocation tables for prepacks, using assortments. Store groups in Merchandise and Assortment Planning can be used to do this. Store groupings in Merchandise and Assortment Planning can be used in this also.To use this function, assign store groups to assortments without any restriction of the merchandise category concerned.
