This function is used for the following purposes:

• To enter goods receipts in the store using reference documents, for example, purchase orders, deliveries and article documents (putaway from two-level stock transfer).

• To enter goods receipts without referencing any system documents.

• To enter return deliveries

• With reference documents for purchase orders
• With reference documents for deliveries
• Without reference documents

• To enter cancellations (reversals)

• With reference to article documents, in which case, the total quantity of a document item is cancelled
• With reference documents for purchase orders, in which case, you can enter the quantity of an item to be cancelled

• To enter goods receipts using the PDC link with Web browser

• Download with reference to reference documents such as purchase orders, deliveries and article documents (putaway from two-level stock transfers). The system loads a file containing the reference document to the PDC device. Data is entered using a PDC device.

• Download with reference to reference documents such as purchase orders, deliveries and article documents (putaway from two-level stock transfers), or without entering any reference documents. In the background, the system creates a purchase order for the articles and quantities entered.

• PDC processing using the PDC link with RFC interfaces

• Preparing and downloading data that is needed for goods receipt on the PDC device. SAP Retail Store allows you to download data needed by your site to your PDC device. This could include data such as Customizing, vendor, site, material, and reference document data (purchase orders, deliveries and material documents). You can prepare reference documents individually.
  The formatting of data in SAP Retail Store is intended for PDC device subsequent stock levels. SAP recommends that you trigger and plan this formatting with reports that you can find in the SAP menu, WSRS_ADM. The reports can format the data for several sites.
• The goods receipts created on the PDC device are then automatically uploaded. You can make settings in Customizing for whether you want them to be posted using the PDC monitor or directly.

• PDC monitor

• The PDC monitor displays the transactions that contained errors or were not updated automatically. You can process and post them in the monitor. If there are several partial goods receipts in a reference document, they are posted cumulatively.

Intranet component

This function requires all the Materials Management and delivery functions.

The Customizing settings for entering goods receipts must be maintained. The following specific Customizing settings can be found in the Implementation Guide (IMG) under SAP Retail Store: Basic Settings for Goods Receipts.

Users of this function are store associates who are responsible for processing goods receipts and carrying out other materials management functions.

You do not require any authorizations beyond those that are required for Materials Management and Inventory Management in the SAP System.

Standard settings and predefined data are controlled via Customizing for goods receipt in SAP Retail Store.

The functionality for entering goods receipts in SAP Retail Store has an intentionally smaller scope compared to entering goods receipts in the rest of the SAP System. This makes entry of data in the store more efficient.

The following restrictions, which do not exist in the SAP System standard transaction, apply here:

• You can only enter a goods receipt for your own store

• You can only define movement types in Customizing for SAP Retail Store.

You can enter goods receipt data using a PDC device. There are 2 procedures for this:

• PDC link by Web browser

• PDC link by RFC interfaces

The system requires standard Materials Management and Inventory Management functions from the SAP System to post data and update inventory.
