You can plan replenishments with Multi-Step Replenishment using two different procedures.

Within multi-step replenishment, the two-step procedure only uses the programs for calculating requirements and generating follow-on documents. The program for determining requirements calculation data is not used in the two-step procedure.

Within multi-step replenishment, the three-step procedure uses all three programs (requirements calculation, follow-on document calculation and determination of the requirements calculation data).

Notes and Remarks

To start replenishment planning in the background, you need to schedule the reports as a job in the system. If the system runs inbound processing of POS interface data or of stock and sales data for the store, this must be complete before replenishment planning is started.

With background processing, you can set technical parameters, which carry out the processing for follow-on document generation in parallel according to stores.
