Distribution Processing: Methods of Distributing Remaining Stock

Use

When you adjust a merchandise distribution and the quantity actually delivered is not the same as the planned quantity, a quantity may be left over. In Customizing for Merchandise Distribution, you can assign a method for distributing remaining quantities in the adjustment profile for each processing method.

Features

The standard configuration includes the following methods for distributing remaining quantities:

Distribution to the recipient with the largest planned quantity

Distribution to the recipient with the smallest planned quantity

Equal distribution among the recipients

Distribution as planned, then equal distribution in units of issue

Recipients each receive a full unit of issue, one after the other. The remainder is distributed among them until no full units of issue remain. The remaining quantity smaller than a unit of issue is distributed to the next recipient in the sequence.
