Valuation: Updates at Retail in the Retail Information System (RIS)
Use
In the Retail Information System (RIS), all goods movements can be recorded and stored in information structures. If revaluation at retail is active, the system also determines the retail value of each goods movement and updates this in the RIS. Valuation at Retail in the Retail Information System allows you to continue with the retail stock ledger commonly used in the field and thus use the retail method as usual.
Prerequisites
Before data can be updated in the Retail Information System (RIS), you have to activate updates for each information structure in Customizing. The control parameters can be found in Logistics - General under Logistics Information System (LIS).
Features
The information structures contained in the standard version support you in analyzing the key figures relevant to the retail industry and on which valuation at retail is based. You thus have access to the following information:
Retail values are displayed both including and excluding tax.
For statistical analysis, the goods movements at retail are aggregated at any level of your choice for any period of your choice. You can choose the merchandise category or purchasing organization level, for example, as the level of aggregation.
The gross margin is displayed for all goods movements and stock values.
In addition to the information structures contained in the standard version of SAP Retail, you can create your own structures tailored to the individual requirements of your company.
