Proposed from the company code defined in Maintain Company Codes for Articles Management.

Dependent requirements indicator for individual and collective requirements

Set to individual requirements if quantity updating is not defined for the article type (see above).

Division

Proposed from the merchandise category defined in Define Merchandise Categories.

Fiscal year of current period

Proposed from the company code (see above).

General item category group

Proposed from the article type (see above).

Item category group

Proposed from the article type (see above).

Price control indicator

Proposed from the article type (see above).

Procurement type

Proposed from the article type (see above).

Valuation class (in user department Basic Data)

Proposed from the article type (see above). If more than one valuation class is allowed for the article type, the first valuation class is proposed.

Weight unit

Proposed from the merchandise category (see above). If no weight unit has been defined for the merchandise category, it is proposed from the dimension defined in Customizing for Global Parameters in Check Units of Measurement.

Batch management requirement indicator

Set if single batch valuation is defined for the valuation area in Configure Split Valuation.

Valuation category

Set to the default valuation category for retail defined in Configure Split Valuation.

Valuation class (in user department Logistics)

Proposed from the valuation type defined in Configure Split Valuation.

Integration

With the exception of the valuation category, the reference data from Customizing has a lower priority than other reference data; that is, the reference data from Customizing is proposed if reference data does not exist elsewhere (see Articles: Reference Data). If the reference data exists elsewhere, but has the value blank or zero, the reference data from Customizing is not overwritten unless you configure the system accordingly in Customizing for the Article Master in Assign Fields to Field Selection Groups.

Subsequent changes in Customizing are not copied to articles that have already been created using reference data from Customizing.
