The raw materials are managed in your company according to the JSAS to warehouse stock accounts of account category 3. In this account category there are different accounts, for example, for colors (account 300100) and acids (account 300200). That is, the material type for raw materials is divided into several valuation classes.

To represent this in the system, proceed as follows:

1. Create an account category reference 3000.

2. Define two valuation classes 3001 and 3002 for this account category reference.

3. Assign account category reference 3000 to the material type for raw materials.

4. In the step Create automatic postings, set automatic account assignment so that inventory postings for materials of valuation class

3001 are carried out on account 300100

3002 are carried out on account 300200

There, you can also control that accounts of other classes (for example, consumption accounts) are divided according to the same principle for these valuation classes.
