Settings for Downtimes

Tasks

This role allows you to make settings for downtimes, which means you can check downtime elements, assign them to the capacity categories of your resources, and specify a calculation schema for determining default values.

Notes on Adjusting

Downtime elements are cross-client. Therefore, the role only contains display authorization for downtime elements. If the user of the role is to maintain the data, extend the authorization to include maintenance of cross-client data by choosing, in the role profile, Basis Administration ® Table Maintenance of Cross-Client Tables. Note that this can lead to the user also being able to maintain data that he or she is only authorized to display in other single roles.

When defining downtime elements, you can also translate their short texts. If the user of the role is to translate short texts for user-defined downtime elements, extend the authorization for the appropriate target language in the role profile by choosing Basis-Development Environment ® Authorization Object for Translation Environment.

In the authorization profile of the role, authorization to enter downtimes is given under Production Planning ® CIM: Work Center-Plant. You also need this authorization to define a calculation schema to determine downtime default values. The plant is not checked.

Integration

To enter the duration of downtimes, you need the role Enter Downtimes.
