User-Defined Error Management

Messages that appear during the execution of functions are collected in message logs.

The messages in the log are displayed in list form and can be sorted and filtered according to various criteria. The messages issued by the system are subdivided according to their message type as follows:

Change message type (specifying user-defined message types)

For some of these messages you have the possibility of changing the message type. This can,for example, be useful in making the system stop or force the further processing of an object or suppress the issuing of a message. If you want to change the message types, then branch to the processing step Specify user-defined message types.

Assigning messages to an area of responsibility

You have the possibility of using an area of responsibility as an additional sort criteria in the log. A prerequisite for this is the processing step Assign messages to an area of responsibilty.
